35th Anniversary

Monday, July 7, was a beautiful sunny day we could see Mt. Rainer. This is what the Seattle harbor looks like on a sunny day. July 7, 2008 was our 35 anniversary. We decided to go to Victoria, Canada. We left on Sunday and came back on Monday.

We got to Victoria and went right to the Butchart Gardens. I recommend it to everyone.

These are little plant like creatures. There were things everywhere to look and so many details.

This was the sunken garden. It was my favorite. It was like a fairy land.

More pictures of the sunken garden.

This was in the rose garden. I've never seen so many roses.

This is the harbor. We found a cute little floating place to eat on the harbor. It had great food and had the best prices too, it was a fish and chips place.

The Empress Hotel. These bushes always grow to the west. I thought they were cool.

We had cartoon characters drawn of us but thank goodness they don't look like either one of us. The guy made me look better or younger than I really am.

I can't see either of us in this picture but it was fun.

The harbor was beautiful. I would recommend a trip to Victoria, Canada to anyone. Just take lots of money. It reminds me of Jackson with lots of tourists, but they still have local Canadian
shops. It was fun to look around. It was a wonderful trip with my best friend and eternal companion.

Happy Anniversary! Congratulations on making it 35 years.

Victoria looks beautiful and quaint. The garden pictures were so gorgeous they had me transfixed. What a fun thing for you to do to celebrate.

I'm excited to see the picture -- are you going to frame it?

July 7th...What a great day for an anniversary! Hope you had a happy one:) Funny thing is we were in the same area at the same time for our anniversary! We went on an alaskan cruise and left from Seattle on the 5th. One of our port cities was Victoria. I really really wanted to go to the gardens there but we got there at night and they would have been closed by time we got there:( Guess I'll just have to go back! Looks like it was fun though!
