Big Piney

These pictures are for the Jackson Clan...they asked me which was better Green River or Big Piney? I have to tell them it's like comparing apples to oranges, they both have their beauty when you look for it. Here is a picture of the Wind River Mountains out of Pinedale. It's hard to beat them or the Wyoming Range (below). It's one of the things I do miss about Big Piney.
Curt was playing in a golf tournament this week in Pinedale so I drove up on Friday to visit him.
I took these pictures along the way. It's a place that will always have my heart. I loved living there.

WOW

Curt was working in Roosevelt, Utah the first part of the week and I went down Tuesday to stay with him. We went to the Vernal Temple and then I came home Wednesday morning. It's a beautiful drive down over a Mountain pass and then down by the Flaming Gorge Reservoir. This is one of the views that you see while you're driving. It always makes me appreciate this beautiful country we live in.

From my kitchen window.

This is the view from my kitchen window. Over the top of the neighbor's house I can see Castle Rock. It's about 2 miles away as the crow flies. I'm glad I get a little glimpse at it.
We planted lots of daisies the first Summer we lived here. They are finally really taking, this year they are really pretty.

35th Anniversary

Monday, July 7, was a beautiful sunny day we could see Mt. Rainer. This is what the Seattle harbor looks like on a sunny day. July 7, 2008 was our 35 anniversary. We decided to go to Victoria, Canada. We left on Sunday and came back on Monday.

We got to Victoria and went right to the Butchart Gardens. I recommend it to everyone.

These are little plant like creatures. There were things everywhere to look and so many details.

This was the sunken garden. It was my favorite. It was like a fairy land.

More pictures of the sunken garden.

This was in the rose garden. I've never seen so many roses.

This is the harbor. We found a cute little floating place to eat on the harbor. It had great food and had the best prices too, it was a fish and chips place.

The Empress Hotel. These bushes always grow to the west. I thought they were cool.

We had cartoon characters drawn of us but thank goodness they don't look like either one of us. The guy made me look better or younger than I really am.

I can't see either of us in this picture but it was fun.

The harbor was beautiful. I would recommend a trip to Victoria, Canada to anyone. Just take lots of money. It reminds me of Jackson with lots of tourists, but they still have local Canadian
shops. It was fun to look around. It was a wonderful trip with my best friend and eternal companion.

I DID IT!!!!!!!!

Skidive Utah... I parachuted out of an airplane July 12, 2008. Getting ready...

Watching them fold a parachute.
Getting on the gear...
Alec my parachute partner. My partner was the best looking.

Getting on the plane...
Making a safe landing on my bottom.
Walking in from a safe landing...

This was totally awesome. I would even do it again. I was never scared or afraid. It was a beautiful sight to see the earth and float down to it. It was like flying. It was even better than I imagined it being. I have a parachutist logbook with my first jump log in it.
