Blessings

My visiting teachers came by and left this message by Stephen Eardley. I would like to share it at Thanksgiving with all of you...

Blessings

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the million who won't survive the week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation, you are ahead of 20 million people around the world.

If you have food in your refrigerator, clothes on the back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep, you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace, you are among the top 8% of the world's wealthy.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful, you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can read this message, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read anything at all.

You are so blessed in ways you may never even know.

We hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving.

Elk Hunting

The hunters had a beautiful view of the Tetons this weekend. Curt, Darren, Trevor, and Steve went hunting this weekend.

This picture is a classic because it shows the hunting attire. Old blue coat, orange vest and green stormy Norman hat.

Then there's the grizzly. It has been seen by everyone that has gone up to hunt. Curt has seen it now three times.

The elk were safe this weekend.

Mighty Hunter

These two pictures were the only peek we saw of the Tetons the whole time we were there.
I've decided there are people who never in their life time see the Tetons. While parked at the Teton turn out there are people who stop, look at the visual of the mountains then look up at the clouds that cover them. They even point at them but they only see the visual because the cloud cover is so thick.

The mighty hunter. It's a 6x6 and I'm glad it wasn't any bigger because once the shooting is done the work begins.

Curt worked on the elk while Brent started to carry it out.

This is a classic Brent picture.
We put a quarter in the backpack and then carried it up to the highway. I carried out the back straps.

Out with the old and in with the new.

I don't think the jeep has spent many nights outside. I'm feeling sorry for it. It's been my traveling companion for the last five years. I keep telling it that it's going to a good home, Brice is getting it. It's been a good vehicle.

The new Nissan Pathfinder is in the garage. We haven't drove it since we came home. I think I'm feeling sorry for the Jeep. It won't be long and we'll be driving it everywhere.
