Brent's Graduation

Tuesday, October 28, 2008 Brent graduated from the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy.

They called him the medic because he was the only one who had a white shirt.

Brent received an award by the faculty. Four people were chosen out his class of 26 for this award. It was called Honor Graduate. The reward reads...This award is presented to the one officer in each class who, in the judgment of the instructional staff performed in a superior manner in all phases of training and who exhibited all the essential qualities and attributes of a professional detention officer. This award is the highest honor that can be bestowed on an officer while attending the Wyoming Law Enforcement Academy. He didn't get the big scholarship award but he was nominated for it which is awesome to me.

BEAR!!

I went hunting with the guys on Saturday. I don't think I have ever seen so many animals in my life, antelope everywhere. They were all getting in herds, getting ready to head South. Two herds of elk, one before daylight and one right after. It's trophy hunting so there are no dead animals. It doesn't hurt my feelings at all. Whatever we get has to be bigger than Doc. (above) The coolest thing we saw was a grizzly bear!!! It even followed the guys up the path. It wasn't after them but it wanted to go the same way they were going. We took some pictures with a throw away camera so Darren should have them back sometime this week. It was very close. One of those good memories.

My Birthday

The guys were hunting but when they came through they had dinner with us and birthday cake. Cameron and Dakota helped make my birthday cake. Cloe and Cameron decorated it.

There were not enough candles but that was OK.

They decorated it and put the candles in themselves. They did a great job.

Look how it shines. It was the best cake I've ever had.

Now I know why the candles on the right side went out first. I even had help from Curt.

Way to go Cloe, Cameron & Dakota. It was a good birthday.
